Classic Square Handwoven Cane & Iron Tray

This artisanal tray is an iron and cane offering and has been woven by rural artisans employing the art of cane basketry. Being a handmade process used by local artisans of the weaving community, cane basketry is quite interesting to witness. The whole offering is exclusively just woven strips of cane which get beautifully decorated by applying various themes and ideas. Cane is shredded by local craftsmen, with a blade, into strips of multiple sizes. Numerous strips of cane then get interlaced with the vertical cane strips. All the strips are woven with such consistency that the final product already has a beautiful design. These products are what then become your daily bags, baskets, and other accessories
